check engine light is on

Ok, so I haven't run my quad in almost a year and I was working on it tonight to get ready for our ride this weekend.  Battery was way dead so I put the charge on it and I waited until I had enough juice to start it up so I could warm the engine to change the oil.  Well it started fine but the check engine light is on.  What is the short list of things that it could be after sitting for the last 12 months?  Could my PC3 loose my loaded map or could it be something else?

Is it flashing a code when you turn it on? Should have 2 sets of flashing, a fast set and a slow set. that's the error code.

in other words......battery is junk.

I'm betting it's just due to low voltage (Since you jumped started it off the charger), and we know your battery is crap.
