NW Raptor Rally 2010 SHOW & SHINE -Info and Entry

By popular demand....This year at the NW Raptor Rally 2010 at Winchester Bay, Oregon, to be held next month, May 13th - May 16th, we will have a new event to add to the fun and riding....a SHOW and SHINE contest !! The contest will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 15th at Group Site "D" at Half Moon Bay campgrounds and will be open to all Raptors. The judging panel has put together 3 different categories for you to enter your bike or multiple bikes, if you wish. The categories have been made up to hopefully have a place for all Raptor participants tpo be able to enter their bikes......from mild to wild !!

Outlined below are the 3 categories for entry. To make this all a little more exciting for the folks entering the contest, we will have prizes for the winning bike in each category, as well as a top prize for the bike that`s determined to be the "BEST OF SHOW". The category prizes will be a combination of cash awards and product prizes and will basically be equal for the categories, but not necessarily exactly the same for each category. The value of the category awards will be approximately in the $50.00 range.

The overall winner for the "BEST OF SHOW" award will receive a cash award of $100.00 and also a nice custom wood trophy made by one of our forum members for this event.

CATEGORIES

#1 Duner Mods Limited....Must have stock frame, front/rear brakes and shocks. No more than a + 4 swing arm. Must be stock bore/stroke with no motor mods beyond the Big 3, +2 TB, cam and piston. No lockup clutches. No limits on non motor or cosmetic mods.

#2 Duner Mods Open....Must have stock frame, front/rear brakes and shocks. No limits on motor or cosmetic mods.

#3 Race/Hill Shooter....Must be Raptor based bike. Raptor frame or Raptor motor qualifies. No limits on frame, motor or cosmetic mods after qualifying.

The judges spent a lot of time coming up with categories so that all Raptor participants would have a place to enter their bikes....from your clean stock bike to the wild race build....Everyone can enter and have a shot at winning, as your bike will only be judged against the bikes in your category. The BEST OF SHOW" winner will be selected from among all the entries in all the categories. We would like to have this event be a fun time and one that most Rally participants will enjoy. We tried to keep it simple and we hope you will participate, so we can make it a permanent part of the NW Raptor Rally in the future.
