Lost my grandfather today.  He will always be missed.  He had some of the best stories from being a bomber in WW2. 

Did I mention I can't wait for 2009 to end.

I've been ok, he lived life to the fullest and he went without pain.  I've just given up hope for 2009, time to shut this year down.

I love talking to WWII vets.  They tell their memories so "matter of fact", not one bit of macho, or over embellishment. Just how it was, how they did it, and how they made it home.  Heroes....everyone of them.

IMHO today is a lesser day because we lost yet another of what truly was the greatest generation.
