so the Indy race was in Edmonton last weekend... and one of my regular customers works for Audi in Edmonton...

well Audi Canada had sent a V10 Audi R8 here to be in town for the INDY... he came by the shop to pick up a few things before he headed on vacation on Friday...

i may or may not have given him a discount on what he bought in trade for a Ride in the R8...



so after he was done paying... he said "lets go"  as we were walking towards the car he tossed the keys to me... and said "you might as well drive"

all i can say about that car is

HOLY FERK!!!!!! absolutely amazing... i was doing 140km/h (about 80mph) in 3rd gear on the freeway... the power was AMAZING!!!!! 550HP and the same motor that is in the Lambo Galardo... paddle shifters were awesome... and super smooth...

if only i had $189,000 laying around i would have bought that car in a heartbeat...

I've only been lucky enough to spot 2 of these bad boys on the road so far... They are super sweet!! I'm very jealous of you Blair!!!! :thumbs:

Great ride. Love Audis! Especially a 550 hp one.
