I always thought PRM products were amazing quality pieces. Well until today when i was working om my axle bearings and noticed the rear mounts all the welds are cracked. This is their .250 plate too. I do ride some rough stuff, But nothing that would crack the welds. Ive had this plate for a little under a year. And only get to ride about once a month. When i called PRM i was told that there is nothing they can do for me. Other than send it in at my cost have them weld it, and pay for return shipping.

On another note, When i recieved the plate it did not fit. I worked with prm with numerous calls and e mails about the fitment issue i encountered. With their permission I ground down the center section of the rear plate mount because it hit the bottom of the swinger before it sat flush. They now incorperate that into their new plates with the help of my design.

Im not asking for the world, But what would it really cost them to make someone that has helped them in the past a satisfied customer?

Well i called back and spoke with a lady there. She told me the same. She offered a few $$ of a new one or i can send this in, All at my cost shipping both ways. Not sure if im wrong here, But why would i pay for a defect in a product? And a cracked weld on all 4 corners to me is a defect. I asked her if she or the other guy i spoke with looked at the pics i sent to them. She said no they did not. I asked if they would call me back after they did. So this was yesterday and neither of them called me back. To me a company is only as good as their customer service. And their customer service BLOWS

And here is a recent pic from yesterday,I had a guy from work weld it up for me.

That sucks bro... Sucks that a company wont' stand behind their products, you would think it should be easy enough to tell if you had abused it or not by the company.. and then take care of their customers.  ::)

Jamie put some pictures up of it.. i am in an indusrty where i deal with "warranty" calls on a daily basis

another option may be to find a local welding shop. depending how bad the cracks are you may be able to find a guy to tig it back together for ya... he may even do it on his lunch break for a case of beer... (walk up to the shop door rather than calling and talking to a foreman...

im not recomending doing something like that... but its an option that you may want to explore ;)

Pics are up. What do you guys think?

Yeah, there's no way that could be your fault. That straight up looks like faulty welds.

The new weld looks like it should hold up!

looks like bad welds to me... probably cracked from getting bounced off of rocks... deff not something that was your fault... shitty that they wouldnt take care of ya...

new welds look great... and probably was a whole lot easier to get done than sending it back...
