The GTO looked too much like a Grand Prix to me. They should bring it back with a more retro style like the Camaro and Mustang.

That El Camino is probably something already being marketed in Australia as a "UTE" They are crazy for those down under. The GTO was an already old design from Australia before we got it.

here's a linkypoo to GM's Australian company: Holden same damn cars...rebadged. The El Camino is already being sold. Just has to be tweaked for our market. I agree, Brian, dumb idea.

I am the only one tired of seeing "Plumb Crazy" Challengers? I appreciate them - and am a Mopar fan - but they are just - well, done.

There was a beutiful electric blue Challenger at Performance Corner in Tacoma a couple years back, absolutely gorgeous> Never got to see it run, but it was a burly sonomabitch with a blower on it. Wish I could remember more about it now. :nana:

You talking about Bucky Austin's place on 56th and South Tacoma Way - Pro Max or something like that? Yeah, there are always cool cars there. I talked to one of the managers there once and asked why he almost always had Chevys out front ("no offense"). He said that Chevys seemed to draw the most attention to the store. I told him he was probably right and asked for how long Chevy had been putting HEMIs under the hood. He laughed.

Agreed, the GTO looks too much like a stretched Cavalier to me.  They could of done much better IMO.  Something like a '67 inspired retro would be sweet.  They need to call Chip Foose to draw it up for them  :grin_nod:

People got it. I think it got lost on some younger generations though.

That's the one- ProMax ! That place is the shit. ALWAYS dope classics there, including motorcycles. The thing I like about it is that you can usually find rare cars there too, not just classics. I saw a GMC cyclone there once, it was mint and had like 65K on it or something like that. I like those weird limited production packages like that.
