my rear caliper is leaking. i had it apart for powdercoat, upon re-assembly it is now leaking. its slowly seeping out from the e-brake post. the post o-ring is clean and feels tight in there. some of the internal parts were removed since i do not use an e-brake.

i still have everything in there except for i remember removing a spring. i figured once the caliper pressurized with fluid, it would push the post outward, thus sealing it if that makes sense? i took it apart for cleaning, and put it back together, same deal. it is a slow enough leak that im able to start getting good brake pressure. then it drips out the corner of my block-off plate.

the yamaha dealer does not sell individual parts, just whole calipers. so that is out for trying other seals. can anyone suggest a way to seal this? just weld it? epoxy?

i really dont want to spend $100+ for a new caliper..
