je piston and hotcams

okay im gonna buy a hot cams stage 1 and a je piston  660 CC's, 100 MM (standard bore), 12.:1 compression ratio and weight of 372 grams  but i have a couple of ?
1. well i be able to run on pump gas

2. well i need to do anything esle to the engine to install these items

3. well i need to rejet my 660 for these mods

You will need to rejet for sure.

And chances are.. You will have to run on at lesst 93 octane. possibly more.

the limit on these raptors is right around 11:1 unless you're in the mountains.

i would not run a je piston if i were you......the small bore 12:1 pistons are prone to breaking at the wrist pin trashing the whole motor go on rf and search it you'll see.....go with an 11:1 wisecon instead pump gas will be ok and no common failures to worry about

i would go 101 bore not 102....102 makes the sleeve really thin

those kenz pistons are PIMP, but 2x the price of anything else.....but i would definately listen to jwraptor....he knows quite a bit about nasty engine builds

nop im getting the 686 at the end of augest i would buy it now but i need to buy new clothes and stuff for school cuz it starts in 2 week

You may be able to get by with running 12:1 with 93 octane but I'd at least 50/50 it with higher octane.  The stage II works really well.. Considering they are the same price i'd get that one.

i did made up my mind im getting the 686cc kit but not till late augest cuz need stuff for school and i have to fix my freaken handlebar probelm
