I have no idea what kinda of gun this is. I was told it is an 8mm rifle? but anyone i tell says they have never heard of one..

That vid says Mauser K98 so it looks like somebody replaced the old military stock with a new replacement.  Beware of old surplus, it's corrosive.  Probably why it's so cheap.  Clean it right after you shoot that stuff.
