I believe it was Bo (Velociraptor) that made a cool little gusset kit for his bumper mounts. Just placed some .125 steel on top of the mounts and welded it so they can't bend as easily.

   I'm going to see if I can find a way to make a rubber shock-mount.  I work in a H/D truck parts department so I have access to lots of different mounts.  Not a big priority for me right now though.  :lol:

I never even thought of the shock thing! You may be on to something huge! Make them so they can swivel  under enough force but can be kicked back straight. like have a half tight bolt and nut holding the shock in place so if you hit straight on the shock absorbs the blow to an extent but if you hit sideways the shocks will push to the left or right and you can just kick the bumper back and re-tighten the shocks.  :nana: :clap:

those mounts are made soft for a reason, to protect frame by absorbing the damages and not transferring them to the frame.

So I will not even think about installing any stronger/ aftermarket mounts. not even for free
