i'm trying to decide which fuel controller to get for my 08 700r. it's all stock right now, but i'm planning on getting an intake and slip on exhaust soon. i live a few miles from trinity so i was thinking about getting the fuel controller from them, but is the power commander any better or just different? and will the fuel controller improve performance on a stock quad? also how do i go about adjusting the controller as i install mods? i know there are maps for the power commander but what about the trinity unit? sorry for all the questions but i have no idea what i'm doing in this department , thanks guys

Power Commander all the way, way more adjustability, tons of maps available, plugs right into Dynojet dynos, I'd get the good one the first time around.  I'm a little biased though, having access to dyno's makes a big difference.

if u want to be able to tune your bike to run awesome at ALL throttle positions then go with the PC3 power commander 3.....u will never wish u bought anything else.....and never have to upgrade....

and if u want a full dyno tune thats well worth the money then hit me up.....trinity is about 45 min. from me.....

Daniel, would I need to get a new dyno tune after every mod to keep the afr right and get the most performance?

To get the most out of your parts, it'd be best to have it dyno'd but some people can't afford that. I have this site: pciii.raptorsource.com which has maps specific to mods from other people that can get you close, but not as good as a dyno tune though.

i have only came across 1 bike that was spot on and no additional power could be gained.....
1-3 hp gain from a custom tune is the norm compared to a genaric map..........most are on the rich side which is fine to keep the bike on the safe side

I've been running the Trinity for 3 years now and am VERY happy.  Lots of adjustability and easy to use for a bonehead like me.  I'm not dissing the PCIII, I just really like the Trinity also.  I've done piston changes, cam swap, +2 intake and it's still working like a champ.

The Dobeck type controller "gen 3" is labelel with several names and works fine ,my friend has one in a three mod which he spanks me !For sure the pc3 is king but my buddy hates computers and would probably like a carb!! LOL  So the Dobeck is perfect for him
