Only gone & broke it!!!

I am not a happy chappy today

Just spent most of the last week dieing in bed but trying to get outside in the freezing cold winter whether whenever i could to try & get my new Road legal Kit on!

Managed to get this done though. With the new Loom in, Switch Gear mounted up, Indicators, Horn etc on & my new Acewell Digi Dash all wired up, mounted & looking sick!

Why so mad then you might wonder?!

With all my new goodies on & after not taking the Bike out for a couple of weeks i decided to go spank it for a night! Theres a few lads round here that all meet up on a Sunday night with the Boy Racer Car's so off i went to teach them a thing or Two about real speed lol Spent a few hours chatting about Car's & whatever, with some good runs against a few nice Car's including a BMW & a Evo! went for a little cruse around before we were going to head home & after a good 15 min run playing around with the same BMW we pull up at the Lights. Lights go to green, i go to pull off but not fast as we were waiting for someone to catch up (hahaha), i get to the end of the Bitting point with just a little Rev's & i hear GRINDING!!! I drop the Clutch in a split second & sh*t myself!!! Theres a Garage right beside us so i roll towards it & as i get to the Forecourt i try to let the Clutch out again, SLOWLY. The Leaver goes nearly all the way out, a little Rev's, the Bike pulls like nothings wrong! Then as soon as i get the Leaver all the way out, grinding & catching noise!  :(1`

Well after a good look & testing stuff right there, I can get in through all the Gear's with the Engine off & on (with Clutch in), although they are VERY clunky! I can ride the Bike through all the Gears as long as i ride the Clutch at biting point constantly & do not give it more than about 1/4 Throttle! As soon as i give it more Rev or try & let the Clutch out all the way it grinds or catches or something that sounds horrible!!! The Clutches bitting point is RIGHT at the end of the release as well & after searching on hear it seems it should be further in on the release, is that right?

Please someone tell me this is just my Clutch & not the Trans!!! I searched but can't find anything like it. I can get a GYTR one cheap from the guy who originally owned the Quad so all will be good! As you will probably know though, if it's the Tranny it's a Engine strip, new Tranny & lots of £s which i do not have right now !!! :'(

on a cool note: dig the pound symbol! Is that on the "4" on your keyboard?

Sounds more clutch related. I think the first thing to do would be pull the side of the case off and check out the clutch plates.

Wow, thanks for all the replies guy's!

It's a 01 Flynbyu! The guy told me it was a 03 but found out since (Vin Num) it's a 01 that was registered in 03!!! So i bet i know what you was coming with next lol 01 Tranny's!!! I have been Searching about my prob & read all about the fu*king things! Thats what got me so worried! It still goes into Gear though so i really do hope Clutch!

The £ sign is on my Num 3 key Peels660. Guess you guy's don't see that much hey lol!

Do you get the same response from first and second. The 01 660 problem was with second...and when it goes...it goes, and you can't move it at all.
