I talked to Shawnz and got the okay to post this here, because I've been looking for a way to mount my license plate so it wasn't in the way of the brake light :) and I got yelled at by the Mn DNR for having it mounted on the front.

QuoteI added a backing plate for the inside of the under tail. I used steel but some thick enough plastic should do the trick as well.

I added some adhesive backed foam between the bracket and the plastics too.

I will be purchasing one for my rappy!

Thanks again Shawnz for letting me post this up. 8)

Very nice. You need some nylok nuts for that. It would look better than 2 hex nuts and hold better too.

the license plate will also mount perfectly to the 2 outside hex bolts on the rear bearing carrier, free and outta the way. This is where mine is mounted.

how does yours sit? do you have a pic?

Randy, don't you have to run a rear number plate off the grab bar for racing?  Couldn't you just use that ???

Krandall

xc races we get a number/bar code assigned to us placed on our helmet I can't find a pic that really shows it. but it's placed on the lower left part of the main part of my helmet. Numbers not required for XC though.

So can you ride it on the street? Or even for off road use? Any idea if I could ride it on the street "legally" here in Missouri?

no idea, you'd have to check what the requirements are to legalize a vehicle for road use.

Yeah a few buddies and I got caught riding some back roads by Hi-Po and they gave us a big ticket well numerous ones. Totaled out to be 350 bucks and a day off work for court. She said as long as we had a "slow moving triangle" and a flag we could ride any road that wasn't marked as highway or interstate. But I don't want to risk it and get in more trouble. But last year we did wait til it snowed and road down the highway with our paddles on, cops couldn't catch us.  8)
