Air Pressure = Launching.

Here recently I have heard two versions of what to do.
1. is lower psi will bites better off the line.
2. contrary to what people believe the higher psi bites better.
So I don't know what to do.
Can I run 1 high and 1 low.

For sand air the tires down, I have ended up around 2 psi alot of times trying to get it to hook up.  On the dirt you add more air to make the paddle more rigid and stop from folding over.  Some people may say different but this is what I go with.  The guy who has shed some light on this topic for me is the best tuner I know so I tend to believe it.  Also from my own experience it holds true from when I've made adjustments.

In snow lower tire psi's offer a larger footprint & more traction.

This is similiar to the Pro Wedge II which is widely used by dirt track drag racers
with great results. I've ridden these tires in sand & I can wheelie almost right away.
I'm keeping these tires for snow use as I saw a small amount of wear after several hours in the sandbox.  Great tire  & very light :thumbs:

Got it , softer surface = low psi, hard surface = higher psi.
when I broke 2nd gear I had 9 1/2 lbs in the wet sand @ launch.

rear weight transfer will have an effect on the tire pressure needed also. If youhave good transfer you may need to alter your pressure one way or the other.

ok i was begining to wonder what kind of tires you guys were running.  i know with my holeshots the less air the better traction i get

Ever think about a sway bar to transfer weight to the rear tires?

The sway bar is exerting downforce on the a-arms & transferring weight rearward, correct me if I'm wrong? IDK, I don't have one or any experience with them.

My buddy has been flat tracking this summer & we've gone on some rides with his sway bar installed & its very noticable that his rear tires have more bite.

Sway bars are for cornering side to side, not front to back. You may be thinking of Track bars?
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

I've never seen traction bars for quads. But I've never paid much attention. Similar to Ladder Bars for cars though..

And yea. The Sway bar is to prevent side to side body roll. :thumbs:
