Hey guys. Lots of options out there, but im looking for something protected by an airbox, preferably with a cover, that can flow enough air for a 770cc motor. Currently im thinking:

EHS Lid
Stock intake tube
K&N filter

- or -

FCI intake w/ box
modded Outerwears to cover the box

I only like the FCI because of the intake tube. If I could mate that with a stock airbox i'd be golden. Just can't seem to get an idea of how to let this thing breathe but keep the water out.

They used to make some nice aluminum airboxes for the 660's that used the old 250R filter.  I have no idea if this fits your flow needs, but throwing it out there anyway.  CFM and UM both made them for a multitude of atvs, not sure on the availability for the 700 though.

I wonder if you could expand the stock box with a heat gun and make an FCI filter fit inside? ???

Im spit-balling this with Shawn. Opening up the box to accept the FCI tube, then making a little space for the filter might be the best bet. In place of the airbox cover, use an Outerwears airbox cover replacement and maybe a secondary Outerwears over the filter itself. I think that might be our best bet to keep flow up and still still be protected.

MD - CFM makes nice aluminum airboxes for the 700r. I can't remember, but we decided against CFM airboxes for some reason awhile back.

I ride trails water and dust is always on my mined, so I think that the
FCI intake w/ box modded Outerwears to cover the box is going to be the best bet
I have the ProFlow intake with an open box on my 770.

Thanks man, im hoping it does the trick.  If I installed the FCI right last time it would have sealed better. I guess I should instructions
