pulling the motor

need to pull my motor to split the case, and already have the head/cylinder off. question is is it easier to put the motor in as a whole or put it back in with just the lower case and then install the head, just thinking is there enough room and which is easier.

should be easier to put it together on a table. take off the top and bottom mounts and it is easy to get it in. really easy if you have a friend to help guide it and hold it to put on the bottom mount. also less risk of crap getting in the motor if you do it on a table.

It's easier to work on the motor out of the frame for sure...but with someone helping I agree you can install the motor complete...

Yup, pull the motor and set it on a bench.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

ive installed my motor twice no issues by myself, but i am not exactly a small guy  :thumbs:

I got mine back in the frame by myself and i only weigh 160. It wasn't easy though...
