There are many positives to adding that feature, however there also negatives.

We've discussed adding a chat feature for awhile now.  And we have thus far decided not to persue it.  This doesn't mean we will never add that capability, just not at this time.

Suggestion noted, but we feel it is not in the best interest of this forum. It has been implemented in other forums and it has done nothing but hurt content. We would rather have our content visible to everyone.
