Is there anyone that actually uses that little thing?  I cant see it doing a hole lot, but maybe it does.

Krandall

I saw them, but I decided against it.. I know there were a couple guys running the coolant cooler in their lines and said it dropped 3 degrees, where 3 degrees isn't all that much. Every little bit counts..

i think theres a guy on the "other" forum that did the oil cooler thing to his 350, may wanna check that

BoisBlancBoy

Yeah i think I looked that over already.  The only think i didnt notice was how he connected the lines to the case, I dont think there was a picture.  Or how the oil would flow up to the cooler.

exentix

i dont know i never looked at it much... i dont think it would help much though. i ride for hours on end at times, and i never notice it getting overheated, so i think it would be too much work to install a cooler.

BoisBlancBoy

Ive noticed mine getting pretty hot at times if I am riding during a hot day, high rpm in a lower gear.  I dont think it is something that is needed either.

exentix

i wouldnt really worry about it.

If you are super concerned since you own a 350, I would consider a larger oil tank as funds permit. If you tend to ride in hot climates, the larger oil capacity will drop your engine temperature much more than an inline cooler.

More oil= cooler engine.

There is one method were u run the lines from the oil filter cover instead of tapping into the case..

Flynbyu

Correct. No need to tap the case.

Other option would be to go with a larger oil reservoir.

More oil = Cooler engine.

How would you put a larger resivour on a 350
You would have to replace the whole bottom of the engnie  ???

Our 93 Warrior, which is bored and stroked to 436cc has an oil cooler which is plumbed into the oil filter, and mounted under the LH rear fender it feeds a cooler about 6"X11", it works great and cools the enigne about 40 degrees farenheit, if I measure just the cooler it only cools the oil about 5 degrees, but this is not the proper way to determine how much cooling you have attained, what we did was to run another bike through the same paces, and compare engine temps, the other bike was not bored and stroked and ran 40 degrees warmer.

If you look on the other site I beleive there were pictures somewhere
