No Air Box
« on: September 14, 2010, 03:38:10 PM »
Who runs w/o an air box?  My buddy runs his YFZ w/o one, with an Outerwear, and he says you can tell a slight difference.  I never ride in the mud, so that I would avoid sucking up any water.  I was thinking of hacking it up, but thought might as well take the whole booger off?

You need part of the airbox to hold up the rear tail plastic...You can just get a FCI no-box that comes with the brackets to hold it up. or trim the stock box out. Personally I'd leave the box alone unless you ride sand only.

Yea, You need part of the box at least for the rear tail. If you don't ride in mud or water. I'd say its just holdin ya back!

What would you prefer to hack up the box with?  Dremel?
