Pro Armor Nerf Bars
« on: March 02, 2010, 03:06:57 PM »
I was just looking through the new DirtWheels and saw an add for the new Pro Armor Revolution Nerfs. Anyone pick these up yet? They look like they'd grab you and throw you back on if you slipped or something. Also wondering about the width, if they stick out past the wheels.

Of if anyone had any picks on their bikes, that'd be cool.

Opinions?

Thanks.

I believe it's pro-armor that's been getting a slightly bad rap for inferior welds.

welds breaking and them not taking care of the customers.

I don't have these, but I do have the other ones and they have held up well the last 2 years I've been using them. No broken welds yet... I would recommend with confidence.

Sweet. I'll check around a little longer then make my decision. They look pretty badass if you ask me.

If anything breaks, I work in a metal shop. I'm covered  8)

Thanks fellas.

+1 I've had my AC's for 3 years. I have the blackline series (powdercoated black)

only gripe is the powdercoat that has chipped off.. But they've been GREAT!!!

Does AC only have the basic race ones? On their website that's all there is. If I google it, I find the built in heelguards model (which don't really wow me all to much)

i have the same ones as krandall...

http://www.mxsouth.com/atv/acracing/ac-racing-nerf-bars-black-line-nerf-bars.htm

black too... and my only complaint is the same...  the powder coating has chipped on the bottom... not a big deal though...

they are awesome nerfs... not the fanciest looking but work great...

How are they strength-wise compared to GYTR nerfs? I got those right now.

Come on, folks. How revolutionary can nerf bars be?
From my perspective Pro Armor has done little more than release something 'new' to satisfy those who want the latest thing while at the same time moving forward after one of their own products tarnished ithe company's reputation for selling quality parts.
