Who can tell me about St. Anthony, Idaho?

Is it too late in the 'season' this year to go to St. Anthony?

What is the place like this time of year compared to Moses Lake, WA and Sand Lake and Coos Bay, Ore. (those are the nearest sandy areas).

A buddy and I have been talking about making the trek to Glamis but live in Washington state - we'd have to go over many mountain passes and snow has already started falling. That and we wouldn't eat up the majority of our time off from work driving to and from if we go to St. Anthony's.

I'd call the boys at KBR or Joker's vault for info about late season St. A's riding.

I'm gonna say it's probably too late unless you really like cold weather riding.  I just checked weather for the rest of the week, 43 degrees is the highest temp. with snow likely from Friday on.  Really you need to hit St. A in May/June or August/September.

My buddy and I are known for braving the elements - while riding. Intentionally driving trailers through that stuff is a different story though.
Guess we'll have to wait until next year for St. Anthony's. Thanks for the replies.

Did you think about maybe holding out and riding with the rest of us at St Anthonys on Memorial weekend? We 're going to have a huge turnout at the rally. Checkout the thread in the "meets" section. Nearly everybody that was at the SL and LS rally will be there.

I hadn't thought about that but will. I was just looking for somewhere 'close' I could take my buddy to ride sand that wasn't Oregon. His dad had a stroke overnight a little more than a month ago while camping/riding with us at Coos Bay. Last Sunday was the memorial service. We need to get away but it's too soon for Oregon.

UPDATED: Just saw the pics and vid in the Rally/Meets section and holy hell those dunes look huge. My buddy and I ride stock quads. Would we even be able to make it up those things?
