Squeaky Brakes on First Ride

So about 7 hours into my first ride the brakes started to squeak.  There was mud, water, snow, sand, and dirt covered in the ride so was it just caused by this?  Im thinkn im gonna pull the front wheels off tomorrow and have a peek.

it might have just been some debris from the ride yes. did you get the front wheels off and take a look at them?

yeah pulled the front wheels off and there is plenty of pad left.  must have been some crap stuck in there. 

i was alittle worried cuz this guy i was riding with said he went thru a set of pads every ride.  but he was riding a honda
