I meant the one with the vette motor like they do in the CTS

Now I know what you're talking about. It just hit me. They DO make a supercharged version called the XLR-V. It's a 4.4L Northstar Supercharged, and it's well over $100K.

It's a different engine than the ZR1. The ZR1's power plant is a 6.2L Supercharged V8. For $100K, I'd rather have the ZR1 with the Brembo brakes and carbon fiber body!

yea thats what i was talkin bout

I'm a mustang guy.  They don't start as much from the showroom, but they have so much aftermarket potential with every model since 1979.

My '86 5.0 GT had 225 HP from the factory, and with with my 331 stroker it was easily 450hp.  It's surely not the prettiest, nor the highest potential if you had unlimited $$$, but for the average Joe with some greenbacks to burn on their car, it's a great option.

IMO, muscle cars started from guys tinkering with mid-level cars and making them quick, the factories paid attention and started outputting greater potential cars.  The Mustang (even though technically not a muscle car) carries on that tradition well.

and compare it to cars with around 300 hp

They're probably trying to be the first to do a comparo.  A more fair comparison will have to wait until one of the mags get all of them in one place.  It would be cool if the Camaro is offered with something similar to the drag pack, whatever it's called, like the Dodge is offering, or some kind of stripper model for the go-fast crowd.  huh-huh, stripper model.  Too bad those cars weigh so stinking much.
mostly stock with a 12t sprocket of fury

I've yet to see one up close.

It was probably a pre production model (GM Exec). I haven't heard of any dealer getting one yet.

Magz

I have been lurking on the www.camaro5.com website and they have tons of information there.
including all the first vin numbers and the locations on where they are going.
i guess a couple of the enginers and developers are members and leak out a lot of information.
and bryan there is a couple of dealers with production camaros available for sales training.
