Penn is one of my favorite fighters and so is George.  My problem with Bj is he always steps up in weight thinking he's gonna whip some ass, mma has come way farther than that.  Bj weighed in at 168 after eating cheeseburgers to get there and GSP probably had to cut from at least 200 to get to 170.  With GSP's skillset and absolute natural athletisism he's going to be dominating his weight class for a long time to come.  I would love to see a catchweight match between him and Anderson Silva though, he's probably one of the guys I can think of that could give him some problems.  I would also love to see a match between Machida and Silva, I think Machida's style is enough to give anyone problems.  Speaking of matches I'd love to see, when are Randy Coutoure and Emelienko going to get it done, that's the heavyweight fight I want to see.  I'm sure everyone thinks Randy would get dominated but I'm betting he would beat that ass.  Kenny, as much as we bullshit I'm surprised we haven't talked about mma that much, I have every UFC fight recorded since the first one and watch every one that comes on, lol.

Yeah, they said GSP walks around at 185...... I think the thing that sets him apart is the way Penn goes in thinking what he is gonna do to George, and George goes in thinking about what Penn is gonna do... You see it all the time with the champs. They are kind of a one trick pony. Silva reminds me of Gracie. Once someone studies him enough to map out his strategy, his career will probably come to an abrupt end because then everyone can watch the tapes and figure it out. He doesn't have the physical conditioning to hang with someone like GSP, so he had better be able to take them out early. I think Machida may fall victim to this as well.

Those oddball styles work very well until people learn how to defend against them. Liddell comes to mind here. I like that GSP goes in as a weapon trained for the specific opponent he is fighting. He tailors his fighting style and strategy to each opponent rather than going with the same GSP style every time, that would make it easy for someone to study and defeat him. I am paying very close attention to Rashad Evans on this very point. If Evans adopts GSP's mentality he is gonna be way dangerous. I really think he is a sleeper.

Changing styles to match your opponent has worked well for Couture, and might be just the man to stop Emelienko, but good GERD that dude is NASTY!
