ok,  so i was just wondering mainly from you guys who have quads that are custom painted if you have problems with the paint cracking or peeling with normal riding.

i want to paint my plastic on my666 raptor black so i could "murder" it out to match my truck.
anyhow ive used plastic paint from a spray can on plastics before and it worked very well but i dont want my 666er to look like S!

any help or ideas would be awesome!

thanks

I checked out your website gallery and its awesome!   all you designs and paint look awesome,  im just not sure i want to spend that kind of money on it cause then i would be scared to scratch it or get it dirty!

I would maybe PM Joka! He's a great guy and may be able to give you some tips for a do-it-yourself job. ;)

I painted only the hood on my rappy. I scuffed the hood w/ a brillo pad and used the plastic bumper paint. You can't prevent the inevitable w/ a cheap option. I have to pull it off about once to twice a year to touch up.

A good paint job should have much more time spent on prep than paint.

If you're using a rattle can.. I think you can fudge the time.

ya ive used the special plastic paints before on plastic trim of my explorer sport and i too have to touch up certain spots every so often so im ok with that just kinda scared cause i dont want to do it and then regret it if it makes my nice rappy look like shite!

im just one of those adhd people who love custom projects and building things on my own more or less but i dont have very much money to do em!

EVL LS1

we've done how-tos and such on threads. we're cheaper in price than most places too... we dont really care if we profit lol.. long as it doesn't dig into our wallets. prepping it right costs $ though.. no shortcuts here

zacharkins

where are you located?   i love how my quad looks but i want it too match my truck and trailer   and kinda need another project to do!

EVL LS1

we're in georgia about 50 miles south of ATL

what should i search for to find the thread on prep and what not?
