I like the idea of Unions taking care of the workers. but when they go bad, they go bad in a big way hurting alot of people.

I've totally missed this.

Unions at first served a purpose to protect the American factory worker, but now they are costing jobs in my opinion.

Factories are opening overseas due to outrageous labor here stateside and huge demands from union workers. I've been in the auto industry for 15 1/2 years and I've seen first hand how it affects the consumer with price increases on product, and smaller margins for the selling agent.
