Strange.....It shouldn't break that often, unless it's something you're continually repairing and using odd ball links.

Thats why I got rid of it, I was going to kill myself! 140 on a bike is NOTHING, but 170+ it gets a bit harry!

I've had chains fail before, but the only time I have had problems with the masterlink is when the clip wasn't pushed all the way on or the clip was bent to begin with.

DID and Renthal have been good to me, RK and the similar cheaper chains have busted a couple of times on me now.

I broke a master link on my non o-ring Moose racing chain. It lasted a few rides & 6 ice races    I was using a CRJ type adjustable rear linkage & with the lowering kit installed adjusting the chain correctly was diffucult.  I think it was overtightened.
