A couple of guys off DuneReview and I headed up to KP.  Freakin FRESH POWDERY SAND.  It was very nice, very nice.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  We were so bored at night so had to have something to keep us entertained LOL.

The only other dunes I've been to is LS.  I understand and was told by Jared, the guy riding the banshee, that KP and St. A are similar but St. A is MUCH bigger and steeper in spots but KP has its own personality.  I think it can be pretty intimidating there, especially with the razorbacks and trying to go straight up the steep faces of the dunes. 

Just have to try it out!  I like it because its about 4.5 hrs from my driveway to the campsite so that's not too bad.  It would be quite the drive for you though  :(

I think it's about 5 hours, but in the same 5 hours, I can be in LS.  I was just wondering if it's worth it between the two.  Thanks for the input.  BTW, I can make St. A in 9 now that the truck is running right. :)
