You dune guys probably wont care too much about this aside from the cool factor, but anyone who has played in mud and then had to clean it off will appreciate this idea.  My only concerns are with the engine heat and things like that. 
SO....what are the thoughts?

Not sure. I think it'd depend on what the thermodynamic properties of it are.. Maybe Aaron could chime in..
it appears (from the cement block) that it's rather inconspicuous as far as the coating is... so maybe it'd disparate heat good.
