My mount was trashed. Quad is an 06. The only reason I took mine apart was because I was changing the Steering stem. If anybodies stem has any play or is squeaking I would recommend you at least inspect your mount and regrease.

couple of questions.....
is there an actual bearing in there or does the stem just ride on a pillow of grease?
do you have to take the stem out to put the o-rings on, or how does this thing mount?
do we have to take care of the payment ourselves? or do we pay raptorsource and you guys pay the full payment?

1 - No bearing. Pillow of Grease
2 - No stem does not need to be Pulled, the orings are similar to stock. Actually a splice in them on one side)

Any way we can get a post on RF and Modded forum to try and get more involved? Seems like some forums are very territorial and delete posts related to other forums. We are all wanting ideas, help and suggestions, why can't we all get along and help each other out? Just typing out loud. We need more buyers. This is a great upgrade, and it isn't a huge expense. We are getting there....

haha you may need more than a greaseable steering stem clamp if you keep that up. haha :lol: minus the water in your airbox that looks like fun! :thumbs:

Yeah, i ended up needing A LOT more than the greasable steering stem clamp, i ended up sucking a little too much water in and not changing my oil enough. Lesson learned :grin_nod:
Regarding if it works with the Wolverine, the part number is the same according to the microfiche (2007 - mrcycles.com), so it should def work!

I installed mine last night, looks great and will make greasing so much nicer since i wont have to take of my whole front plastics and gas tank. Thanks again for the group buy!

What has to be removed to install the new stem clamp? Just wanting to know before mine shows up. Looks like the fuel tank needs to move back and maybe the front plastic. How about the radiator, maybe tilt forward to get to the bolts? Been taking a peek and wanting more info.

yeah i would def be interested in some of those, would go great with new mount and flexx bars, then alls i would need to get is new stem(mines twisted atm)

Tech Quad Shop had a package deal a while ago for the Flexx Bar, Rox anti-vibe risers, riser block (to help the bars clear the tank cover), rox dash panel and a set of grips. I really wanted to go with that deal but was short on cash at the time. Maybe we can get something going again.

Installed mine today. Was pretty easy. Took about half an hour. Then again, I've also taken off my plastics so much I could do it blindfolded 8)
I really felt a difference in the steering. Extremely lighter.

For the record, this was my stem after less then 10 rides.
Notice the pitting. I've never seen such a highly used part so horribly designed for maintenence.
