Those tires are hooked to the 812 that made 80HP on a fat tune. We are expecting it to make some more HP when we get it broke in good and leaned out. I have to get a pyro installed so we can start leaning and get it running to peak performance :clap:

It is really light, with a 1/2 tank of fuel ( stock tank) and a + 6 swinger. You can still pick it up by yourself. The one on the right is my 690 duner. the one on the right is a cut/painted scrambler 500 of my wifes. We painted it 2002 Ford superduty burgandy and cut the fenders,footwells off and installed the stock 660 foot pegs off of the dragbike. damn, now that would be fun. Nobody around here will drink that with me. (too harsh)I could sit and sip that on the rocks all day. Thats west coast right? Probably gonna be a small stretch to get out there from here in Iowa. :rofl: Northwest is on my to do list, though. I'm from Ca originally and miss the ocean like crazy sometimes. took my 3 mod 660 out, that thing is fast as it is, can't imagine a drag tuned 686! This obsession gets worse every day, at first I didn't get it. Couldn't understand why you would drop so much $$ into a quad.......I am turning to the dark side more and more. I wish I would have my quads back in the day when I had disposable income. Before the kids, house, cars..... blah, blah, blah. Then again, If I did, it would have all been gone anyways. :lol: Totally would have wasted it... and the kids are just as much fun. :thumbs:

took my 3 mod 660 out, that thing is fast as it is, can't imagine a drag tuned 686! This obsession gets worse every day, at first I didn't get it. Couldn't understand why you would drop so much $$ into a quad.......I am turning to the dark side more and more. I wish I would have my quads back in the day when I had disposable income. Before the kids, house, cars..... blah, blah, blah. Then again, If I did, it would have all been gone anyways. :lol: Totally would have wasted it... and the kids are just as much fun. :thumbs:
In all fairness this one is not a 686, thats my duner, which runs well in its own right. This one is a 812 on Meth, with a +12 and 25's running 12-40 gearing. Gonna try 12-43 and some more paddle to see if it will run a bit faster. After the cyl/head/piston/valve gets fixed. Oh and it will get a touch more compression 8)

I had them ceramicoated, then did the VHT High temp cause the ceramic turned out kinda grey looking.... Not very happy with the way they were.

Yep, Tim had just finished a batch of canisters when I stopped by to get my air filters so none of them had tags yet.

Tim is a nice guy. He is fixing my head pipe. I just had new tags put on mine. Love the new black labels. Just need to figure out a better clamp.

thanks! i love this thing, i just got it a 3 weeks ago. im planning on slowly building it, but as for right now am extremely happy with my choice for the 660! plus as you can tell by the pic its had a good previous life! the first ride on it i took it to scottsmoor and it was real muddy i kinda hated getting it all dirty you know!

I found mine for a really good deal. Let me know, if you like it - shoot me a PM and I'll let you know where I got it... it includes a seat cover that wasn't installed for the pic, and a piece for the hood that I never put on. Not a bad lookin kit.

Was riding the Florence Rally this weekend.Bike runs GREAT with my new mods, but needs some tuning/testing still. PLaying with gearing and whatnot... also I need to get my ass used to the thing, feels like a completely different bike. I'll tell you what though, I'll climb fuckin ANYTHING! :D

In February I got together with a good friend of mine who is known as Eagle700R and he agreed to help me redo my 2001 Raptor. I bought it used about 2 years ago, and it was in need of a great deal of help. Eagle700R and I started the tear down not knowning everything that we would find that needed to be replaced.

I have it done. It was powder coated and a Maier Carbon Fibor was put on it. It now has 700SE shocks on the front and rear. It has Monster duals and has been rejetted along with K&N filter installed. It has new Braided brake lines and ASV levers. It also has Dr. D. Reverse Lever along with Pro Taper bars. I could go on and on but I'll let the pictures do the talking. I will say that Kelly at Jet Trim did a awesome job designing a hump seat for a 660 that goes great with the Raptor.

That was one major overhaul...And now with the correct set up on the rear you can use the 700 rear shock and have no travel,or rubbing issues with the rear shock..With alittle time and paitence the mod can be done without any guess work.Now if i can just get you to clean it after we ride you'll be set..

Thanks guys. Hey Zacharkins, I got them on Ebay. I think they I found them listed under radiator shouds. I got them last summer and tried to find them on there for you but I couldn't. It was a guy that made them. He did a nice job. They came stainless and then I just covered them. Best of luck finding another pair. If I find them I'll send ya the link.

I just sold the plastics with those graphics on ebay. I want some cool new graphics so I'm working with BRM Offroad. THe seem to have some cool graphics. I even took their graphics and photo shopped them and sent them back and they are making the proofs up.

K&N air filter. HMF or yoshimura exhaust, remove airbox lid, then take your time jetting it. It will be an instant wheelie machine. ANd sound amazing.

Yup, I ride mine whenever I can.
Started racing this season, big learning curve up from trail riding & playing in the dunes!
Didn't take long for me to decide those pesky 450's & 700's needed some putting in their place.
Now have 11.1-1 piston satge 2 cam & springs, & mild tidy up of the ports!
Already had CT Sonic pipe & K&N filter & lid off.
Jetting currently 200 on each side (did a little "evening up" on the porting) :D
Dyno in 2 weeks time!
Not too much bling here, just a hard ridden 03ltd, with a few mods for functionality & speed.

Triple black with the colored flame graphics (there was both red and blue available in the US, but can't remember which year was which) is the standard LE color scheme.

Mine had the blue flame graphics, still has it on the tank, but long gone on the guards.
Would like to replace the graphic on the guards as I like the blue on black look.
Next weekend is the last round of our summer series, I have a 187 point lead in the series, so think I will safely win the clubmans trophy!
This is an Open Terrain Motorcross racing series, held at 3 different venues, each with a variety of challenges to overcome, but lots of fun.
I have not been as dominant as the points might suggest, rather consistency & competing in all the events has got me through.
However with a little luck & some (hopefully) improved riding on a bike that has yet to deliver to its fullest potential, I might pick up a couple more race wins mext weekend.
The club also races speedway, but I havent tried that yet
We have a series of differing events over winter, & next summer I will have to make a choice between Open or Vets, if I'm fit enough I may try to run in both!

Even if I don't race next Sunday, I still can't lose.
However I'm just hanging out to really whip some ass.
Last race meet, I got the motor together at 12.30in the am
was up & riding it to run it in at 7am (my neighbours loved that.......NOT)
Trailered it to the race meet
Adjusted valve clearances & upped my jetting (while the first race for my class was running)
Took it easy for the first half of the 2nd race, then gave it a bit & got 6th.
next race was in a 3 way battle for 2nd on the last lap, got off line in last corner then would have cleaned them out in the drag to the line, but was wheelieing too much & heading off course so had to back off to get back to where I was supposed to be going so got 4th.
Last race, 4th into first corner, 2nd into next corner, just couldn't catch the guy in 1st (well modded YFZ450), but pleased with the result finishing 2nd by 2 turns, with over 1/2 lap back to 3rd.
Bike has an intermittent miss still.
Will be upping pilot jets to see if that helps,
have removed park brake cutout (not tested to see if any difference yet)
will do the reverse cotout eliminator
& then possibly replace coil (had a plug cap failure a while ago, so possibly damaged the coil)
If no missfires & I get good starts, no reason not to win a couple on sunday!

Well the bike ran like crap, wasn't enjoying it, so parked it up, & watched the others hammer themselves through a very dusty track.
Got my trophy, will post some pics when I can.
Still have major miss-firing problems, so will post in a new thread about that too.
Want to have it sorted by next weekend as I have a date with a dyno, so hope to get some good numbers out of it too :)
