Title: FRONT WHEEL LOOKS TO POINTING SLIGHTLY OUT!
Post by: GRAPTOR on October 14, 2008, 12:36:56 PM
Was riding this weekend and I missed a turn and slid into a set of logs and tossed me over the bars.  During the rest of the ride I had to have my handlebars turned slightly to the right to go straight got it home and at the the bottom of the steering shaft I had to straigten the mickey mouse ear tab on one side one was bent. I looked over everthing else and nothing else seems to be bent I adjusted my tow-in and it is about a one inch so that is ok. If I look from in front of the quad the left front wheels looks like it pointing outwards ever so slightly is there any way to check if something is bent or just ride it and see if it steers straight. Also the tabs are slightly bent down I think is ok or should they be straight across (end of steering shaft.)

recheck alignment, if you can't make it work, you probably got some bent parts.

Should I just keep adjusting the tie-rod out to adjust the back of the wheel out? until it looks more toed in the front.
