Title: Raptor Dual Exhaust
Post by: Colorado700R on May 08, 2008, 08:08:11 PM
Barkers, Looney Tuned Exhaust (LTE), Monster, and DASA make great dual exhaust systems.  DMC also makes a same side wrapped header style dual exhaust that works great for a none internally modded machine.

Here's the comparisons done by our friends at BLUETRAXX for the LTEs, DMC, Barkers, and Monster Duals  http://www.bluetraxx.com/misc/raptor700_dualexh_deathmatch.htm

The go cart is fun as hell!            spent 40.00 on it.. and 100.00 on parts

I drove the car out to the black hills this weekend..  A bunch of us went out there and rented a 5000 sq ft cabin with hot tub and pool table   7 girls 5 guys so it was fun! The car was definitly a dream to drive through all the winding/curvy roads!

They make tons of torque, How often do you think you see the High HP numbers on the track?

I'd say not as often as you might think, the torque however is available and applied out of every corner do to where it maxes in the rpm range.

I like the look too. But with future plans for the rappy, it would not be the best choice for me. IMHO.

Well, got the Barkers, PCIII, Pro Design intake on this past week and headed out to Busco Beach to see where I stood against the bikes that had been waxing my azz when I was stock...  Huh....  My bike ran a ton better.... At Busco, we drag race 5 or 6 bikes at the time and use the armdrop method to start...  There are no timers, its just a good place to go and size your bike up against others...  Anyhow, I outran 75% of the bikes I lined up with....  Now, I just gotta save up my money and get some mild engine work done...  Anyhow, I had a lot better time knowing I had a little something to run with...
Title: Re: Raptor Dual Exhaust
Post by: Krandall on December 15, 2008, 08:43:27 AM
Grats on the wins!!!

Now to look into the following:

Mild Cam ($140ish)

Medium Comp Piston ($150ish)

Throttle Body Bore ($179ish) (I forget....)

With those minor mods. You're looking at adding an additional 10-ish HP 8)
Title: Re: Raptor Dual Exhaust
Post by: cowtownup on December 15, 2008, 10:53:23 AM
I definitely want to do the engine work mentioned... I only have about 20 hours on this bike so I'm gonna just ride it for a bit and enjoy the 3-MODs....  I'm gonna try and get up enough brownie points with the wife to get all of the engine work done at one time....  I'm always hearing don't put the cam in without changing the springs, don't do this without doing this, and so on and so on...   I'm just like most rappy owners, I WANT IT ALL....  LOL...

Thanks..
