Title: Vacations?
Post by: preddy08 on March 17, 2013, 12:55:09 PM
Wondering where everyone likes to go for vacations? The ole lady and I want to head out somewhere other than Colorado. Its kinda hard to pick a place blind. I dont really care about Caribbean/Mexico areas. Thinking something along the lines of So Cal, New Orleans, New York, maybe Florida.... ??? We like to eat good food and drink with the locals. We both hate the real touristy type places. We took a tour of Avery Brewery in Boulder Co. That was a lot of fun.

Montana?

New Orleans is a freaking blast. I was there before I could drink and even still I had a great time. I'd love to go back there. Bourbon street is insane especially friday nights when the weather is nice. There's always a party somewhere, boobies flyin everywhere, strippers in the windows, sex shops left n right, and the food is to die for!!!!

Montana Im not to keen on. We've done the whole out doors thing with the old lady. Yea, its fun to hike and site see, but we did that all the time in Colorado. Looking for something different.

New Orleans does sound fun, but I'm affraid it get a litle tiring. Eat, drink, repeat

There's a lot more to offer than just eating and drinking. There's a LOT of cool things to see there. The French Quarters is beautiful AND you can go visit the oil spill

My favorite vcations are based on family experience so doubt my opinion is valid here...

Yellowstone is a great trip. Did it a few times as a kid then Just did last year. So beautiful...

Or Cali. Do Disney then roll up north and see the Bay Area...stop by pismo on the way. Won't be long before my family does that again.

CONUS locations: ($$$$)NYC/($$$)Washington DC/($$$) Key west Fl/($$$1/2)San Deigo/($$$$)Sanoma,CA...

OCONUS: ($$$$)Costa Rica was epic, and relatively cheap for all we got IMO. ($$$$$) Anywhere in Europe, it's f'n pricey, but worth it. ($$$$) Hawaii is a tropical paradise that's hard to beat, but it's allot of coin to still be on US soil :dunno:

San Deigo FTW shawn

I've been to San Deigo years ago, wasnt overly impressed but I was pretty young. Long drive from San Fran!

We're headed up to Napa on the weekend and going to make a stop at the CIA (Culinary institute of america) for lunch.
Spending a day hitting all the touristy areas.
A day bumming around Fishermans warf.
Might head to some local brewerys and take some tours.
Hitting the night tour of Alcatraz :woot:

Thats about it for now.

You can do fishermans wharf in way less than a day. it's really not that impressive. It's cool and a lot smaller than I thought.

Have a blast out there shawna!!!
