we got invited to go riding a few weeks ago by some friends at the wife's work. I said, I need to wash the quad and clean up the helmet and goggles. This chick was like "you wear a helmet on your four wheeler?" "didn't know they had 4 wheeler helmets" WTF! ??? WOW! Darwins theory for sure. But, they keep reproducing.....

I rode with a guy a few times that would leave his helmet in his truck. H went through a V shaped small bump in the trail where sand had accumulated. He hit his face on the front brake master cylinder and had to have reconsturctive surgery on his face. He broke his cheekbone, crushed his sinus cavity and his eye was drooping. He was out for 6 months. Last time I seen him, he was riding without a helmet.....again.

when i trail ride in baja i see alot of people with out helmets people on dirt bike ,atvs, and street bikes but some of them have liltte kids with them with no helmets

rk is right "natural selection" Hospitals keep going and messin it up!
oh yea. theres this mountain i ride at in TN where you take a paved road to the top and well ill just say my group was 100% of the people wearing helmets up there. at all times you are probably like 10 feet from a 100ft cliff. and there were people go lets say 50-60+ barrelling around tight corners coming within inches of other quads. not a single one wearing protective gear, much less a helmet. i think more than half of them had a beer in hand, cooler on the back and multiple passengers. because everybody knows the racks on utility quads are made for other people to sit on. :mad: they even had young kids sitting on there with them. its not so much that a give a shit what these people do to themselves, but they were endangering me and my family. i had numerous close calls and even ran into a person head on once there.
