Change pilot to 45, get an adjustable needle from an 04, and go up to 165 on the main or 170 if you remove the baffle.

Agreed.
AND Put the needle on clip position 5

If you go aftermarket exhaust, DR D makes a nice slip on that gives good power for not a lot of money.  HMF is about the same too.

ac nerfs are supposed to be turds. most ac products are supposed to be but i havent experienced this personally, just heard from alot of people.

cam mod is free horsepower and there is a full write up on YFZ central.

my pipe glows like a mofo  but its not lean.

there is also a full pipe shootout with dyno graphs and everything.

tell your wife to hold the hell on

The jetting is a must... thing runs poopy.  I may be able to snag a Rossier exhaust setup from a bud, but I prolly won't even do the cam mod.... yet.  She is upgrading from a Blaster, so I wanna make sure she wants more speed.  I think she'll be shitting bricks when she rides it.  :D  I sure as hell don't miss carburation... I hate carbs.  I saw the choke lever and was like "oh yeah...."  GERD bless fuel injection.

Thanks for the jetting tips guys.  My bud said 165 and 45, but I never heard of the needle trick.  ATV Nationals are in MI next weekend... so my mind is on the Raptor for this week.  She isn't worried about how it runs... as long as it has electric start. LOL  :grin_nod:

the pipe glowing is nothing to worry about. all of them do it. sometimes caused by a lean condition, but not always. usually just because the pipes are really thin metal.

Well I finally got a pic of the bike... I need to get some graphics going on it and get some real pics.  The middle of September is fast approaching now, so little time, even less $$$  LOL.

I'll take the wheelie challenge Warren.  You have to ride the Warrior and I'll ride the Blaster.  The Blaster is for sale at this point too fellas... I have all the stock plastics too, but someone needs a pink bike for their lady friend.

EDIT: upload folder full.  :'(

No mods yet.  I have been busy with life so the quads have been on the back burner.  I would like to buy or possibly build a +6 swinger for the YFZ some day though.  I think the wife would like a smooth ride rather than a fast one, so I will try to mod it the direction of comfort first.  :batman:

gotcha. does it wheelie up too much for her? You could adjust the rear shock softer so it doesnt do that.

Hefe... here is the listing for the Blaster.  The price is negotiable, but with all the extras and such it's close.  I've seen a few bone stocks in worse condition go for $1800 to $2000-ish lately.  I swore I would never sell it, but I bought a couple lil' pit bikes and I really just wanna thin the heard.  LOL.
