The new bulb don't stay in the mounting place because there's all that wire so the stock dust cover won't hold it in place like they di the stockers. Hers a video the instructions confuse me more I think i'm gonna need the splice wires as I didn't see any plugs that looked like any on my bike. Do I hook ballist to battery or just the hot wire from lighting harness. I hear a guy named Aaron can help me hers a video of the kit and all.

The # I sent you was for Colorado700R on here...I think you just need to get with him on how to modify your stock springs to fit it (maybe get a write up on here, Aaron?). Did you get a relay kit with this too? Without that they just hook up to the stock connectors. The 3 point triangle connector is what you have to splice in.
Everything I got was shown in video can only run them on high or low they dint two ways. Can I hook it up so on low and 2 on high.
I only run them on lows on mine too, it's a single filament bulb so it can't be switched like stock. In your vid, the wires with the 2 prongs is what needs to be spliced, yes. cut the prongs off and cut off the wire from the stock bulbs (about halfway if you haven't) and splice the two ends together. Other than that you shouldn't need to put it to the battery.
Thanks Pat.
If you're coming down here soon just bring the HIDs and your quad and I can help you out, really shouldn't take longer than a half hour to do it. It's just harder to explain it, really easy once you do it though.

How do I splice the 3 point plug into two? I assume ones high ones low and other ground correct? Which wires which?
Connect black wire on HID harness to black wire on 3pt plug, and for low beams I believe it's a green wire? I'll check it out on mine tomorrow when it's light out. You just leave one wire out from the 3pt.
Is your kit the Hi/Low Kit?
No his is the single mode standard kit.
Hooked it all up and couldn't get no light work on it more when I get back
:confused:Think I need a new HID KIT or I F'd up. On the end that don't go to lights which ones the hot and which one negitive. I have no lights at all now. I attached red to green off triple plug and black to the blue nothings marked + or - on the light I assumed red posItive and blue negative. Am I wrong where do I get the kit with low/high beam that's truely plug and play no wire cutting? Or can I return these there's a one year warranty but had to cut wires so I could install so IDK if they're covered.
In YouTube video which wire is positive and negative. Is it the ones with the big plugs on em? Is it the blue or the red positive? can anyone think off why I had no light is it ballist light or installed wrong?
I'll check my setup and let you know tomorrow, I'm sure it's something simple we can figure out.
I hope or I gotta buy wire set from triple plug down and replace stock lights, lol.
Yea, I just re-went through the pics I have from my HID install. Looks like I only have 2 wires.. Not sure why you'd have 3... doing more looking.
No the stock wiring harness from lights to first plug is 3 wires. The ballist only has two at each end but I don't know which is ground or negative or to even test the ballist.
The smaller wire come from stock harrness and the fatter ones go to the lights?
I wish these lights came with real instrustions. They're for a car or motor cycle with a relay picture I have no relay just unlabled wires. How's a dummy like me know how to do it. This sucks there should be a inlet outlit Markings. :pics: someone show me there's.
Ok let's double check your routing...wires from bulb go to the ballast, and from the ballast there's a 2 prong plug (integrated, not separate) then that goes to the stock headlight plug which is plugged into the factory harness. Did you wire black to black and red on HID harness to green on factory plug?
If you'll be down here in 2 weeks, just wrap it all up for now and bring it all with you, I'll come up and help get that sorted. It's really simple but it can be confusing the first time you mess with HID systems.
I had to cut all the wires nothing plugged to nothin but about a foot of extra wire or some thing the yellow wire and green wire both have power after I hook them up I can't get nothing thru to the other side are my ballist bad? Did I blow the bulbs gating the box around? On my ballast there's a big box and a little box which one should electricty run threw first?
Umm you shouldn't have had to cut the bulb to box wires. And one end of the plug that goes from the box to the headlight plug should've plugged into the ballast.
Had ballist backwards I now have lights haha thanks Aaron pat
good to hear. bright suckers arent they!!!
Yeah they are I'd like to seen em lastnight cause I have pretty dark blue head light covers. It blocked over 1/3 of stock lights.
Glad to see you got it done. After the first time it's easy once you understand how the routing goes
I'm redo later(anotherday) when front plastics off so I can mount ballist in other places later maybe safer spot. But thanks everyone yeah next time will got way better.
my ballasts are mounted on each side of the radiator. there ziptied in position. Never had and issue, and they work good there.
I mounted mine next to the radiator between that and the frame.

There's some weather stripping foam. Has one side w/ tape on it. I put that on my balasts and mounted to the frame behind the radiator like pat did.
Cool I'll relocate when I get home in a few days can I get to them up there just removing hood I don't wanna take front plastics off, lol.
if you get the hood off, the front plastics are just a few bolts more! :)
Yeah the front plastics are very easy.
I know it's just I hate trying to get everthing lined back up but I'll do that.
Not leaving until tomorrow guess I'm head down to garage and remove front plastics and mount where no sticks from front tire will snag off, lol. That be my first ride out I bet,it's best to do it right.
It'll make life easier in the end ;)
can't wait to see the pics of the lights :)
Got them up under front plactics mounting on a piece of support that goes to the top of radiator didn't want it near nothing to hot. They light up I wanna see them at night with the dark blue lence covers maybe I'll be able to see the covers block out a 1/3 of lights I can tell these brighter though.
here's lights behind dark blue covers in day time gonna take a few more at night also.

I'll add some night pics later and see if I can see the light covers blocked most of the stock lights out. I bet I can see now what ya think?!!?
 >:DAt night as promissed

Nice...now you can say "what lens covers"
Yep
Looks good  You like them?
Oh yeah night rides here I come.
they shine right through those blue films!!! Looks awesome. Huge difference. I couldn't believe it when I put mine in and took it out for a spin @ night. The whole world was lit up.
The covers are just 3m velco I could pop one off when I get home I bet it's blinding then.
Wish I could install strobe kit so they'd do like cops lights I think that'd be cool looking in the day time other riders see me coming and pull over I could see it now,lol or start a good trail race, lmao.

Mad Dog, your sig picture is rudely without quad....that is all.
The pic has quads, but like always it doesn't include mine because it was still in the garage. And it didn't include the borrowed back up quad because it was on the trailer with a blown head gasket.
So this is the only duning I get to do, in my Jimmy ;)
