so with all my carb problems im having now im thinking about saving up my pennies and just getting a new edelbrock carb kit for my 04 raptor 660
http://www.edelbrock.com/offroad/mc/carburetors/yamaha.shtml
can anyone here give me any info about these carb kits something i really want to know is first does anyone here have one of these kits or know anything about them first hand like are they a pain in the ass to work on? making adjustments? can you get parts for them without having to buy a whole new carb? and so on things like that. any help would be great. other wise i might just break down and take my chances buying a set of oem carbs off ebay somethign i REALLY DONT want to do cause they could be just as wore out as the ones i got now.
JUNK junk junk. Everyone will agree.... Get a aftermaket keihin fcr either 35s or 39s. I know its not what u want to hear, but its the painfull truth.
Or if you want to be really cheap, you could get two seperate 35mmfcrs on ebay. I have seen them for 100 each sometimes. It will take more to tune them but the result will be the same as the kit that cost a grand. .02
Don't do it, the idlebrook carbs one claim to fame is easy tuning, it certainly ISNT performance!
My bro had an Edlebrock on his 440ex. I thought it was a pretty solid carb. Tuning was a breeze too :)
well im not looking for something that will give more power just want something that will work at least as good as the stock but alot more easy to tune and get parts for if they are needed.
