So I was snooping around the frame while my motor is out and saw the gussets that this total HACK job welder added and what do ya know, it broke again! This time I got to take it to a buddy of mine and we tried it again, only this time added a few more pieces

Hmm....I see a nice spot to hide the :peels:
Sucks your frame keeps breaking...damn weakass 700s
to much air!!
dang, that's unreal man. Maybe you have a weak 700 frame.
Here's kinda what I was thinking, if you filled in so it was all flat, then put a big piece of flat stock aluminum and welded it in place. then you'll at least move the stress points to where the welds are holding at the left and right of the gusset as shown in the pic.
or making the half moon shaped one bigger.

I was thinking about that randi, but that big gusset will take most of the abuse and the plates on the side will just stabilize that weak area. Atleast thats what I'm hoping.
Ok, I have an idea. Now stay with me....
Install the motor
then weld a plate over both sides of the frame so the motor is protected by a stainless steel cocoon
....your welcome
air flow.. who needs it.

Ooh, good call, didn't think about the swirl effect.
13hp.. I'm game.
and it's a sunshine blocker.. that's gotta be worth an additional 2. hmnmmmm may have to do it myself.
