i have a raptor 700r and a friend of mine wrecked his raptor 660 and i was wondering if it would fit on my 700 anything helps
If it's standard travel, yes, but the valving may not be ideal because of the differences in geometry.
I would measure the elkas to make sure they aren't lower.
you can always MAKE Stuff fit. But you may not get the best response out of the shocks. Like MD said the geometry will be different
what do you mean geometry ???
the way the shocks bolt up.. they way they sit on the 660 is different than on the 700.
say the shock lengths are the same. But if the raptor from the frame to where they bolt on to the a-arms sticks out 3" more than on the 660, you've changed geometry
I installed my 660s Works shocks on my 700 and they felt harsher on my 700 and also lowered it by around 1.5 inches.
thank you everyone for the info i think i will just keep the stocks
You can have them revalved for your machine, and resprung if necessary. IF the shocks are a good deal, or if he gives them to you, then it'd be much cheaper than buying the same thing for the 700 outright.
