For everyone who has ever thought about an R1 motor in a Raptor 700... here it is!!!
This is my attempt at making a Monster Quad. I got started with this build back in Dec. of '07 and this is where it is now.
It has the drag pipes on it for right now till the new ones come in and the plastics are at paint.

Good deal, I was at the Colorado Sandblast '08 show when Keil put his 600F4 rappy on Epic performances Dyno. I had to back up becuase it was so loud, and I already have hearing loss due to artillery fire!!! :lol:

Not only that, there is a big difference in design and application. I would expect the snowmobile to win every time. I grew up in MN racing on the ice and playing with both types of machines and the ATV's are made for the trails and stuff like that and the snowmobiles are made for the give of the snow and the winterly conditions. If you lived there you would probably understand better. Ask a few of the MN boys what they think.

Clutching plays a big part, snow sleds are made for speed 8)
Ever notice how the Ute's are real quick off the line, torque & CVT trans.
Quads are detuned when comparing to sled performance so you know sleds fly.
The Mach Z was probably spinnin the track @ 75 mph.....gearing, studs, rider/machine weight all play a role.

The company sent us the wrong ones and there is not enough time to get the new ones in before the show. We had to put them on for testing. The new ones are the same style but smaller and black.

I have seen them, just not on quads. Makes raptor look like it is from mad max, sweet. I would love to do this but don't have the room to fully enjoy the power, so maybe when I'm a bit older and have more time. It would be the $hit to have an R1 raptor and live near the dunes. :thumbs:

I was going to order two of Rich,s 4 gal tanks but had to cancel out due to fund shortage.In other words had no $$$ for the tanks due other stuff. Has any one orderd or got their tank as I am still interested in getting a couple eventually .The proto type was very nice and I am curious as to what other buyers thought after they got the finished product
