Title: About a 1000 to spend on new motor build.
Post by: preddy08 on January 07, 2010, 08:11:58 AM
I'm all torn down now and need to get my build specs all ironed out.

right now I'm
105 bore 14.1
x-2 cam
Bo's stock valve port
Pro Design K&N intake
Single sparks Exhaust
dyna
+2 TB

I do need a piston so I'll be getting RE's 105.5 14.1 piston. Thats 250. Surely I'll need a crank, that 285. Bo's portwork, ~250. Web 4 cam is 285. Right there thats 1070. I'll be able to sell the piston and cam for about a 100 each. So that puts me back at 870.

If I get duals I should be able to sell my Sparks and AutoTune for about 400 or so. So duals would only cost a 200 or so.

Now what about big TB's and intakes? I'll have about 3-400 left over for that stuff.

HELP A BROTHA OUT! I couldn't sleep last night because I was trying to figure this out

which port are you going to preddy?

I thought I heard megladon. But, its 250 just for the port, that's not including the price of valves / springs.

Megladon is +2 intake +1 Exhaust (may have those backwards but pretty sure)

I've got that all sorted out with Bo. And I'll just have a local shop bore my cylinder out to the 105.5. Might be about 30 bucks.

I don't think he'll NEED the bigger injector this round of mods, but it's a nice little upgrade

Well, I've read the limit for the stock injector is ~75hp, and he's had over 80 for awhile, so he needs to catch up for lost time

Thats the beauty of a sleeve. You dont have to have it re-nikasiled. Just take it to a machine shop and tell them the specs, and just bore it out to what ever you want.
