Yep, any aftermarket shock can be rebuilt. My Motowoz will be headed that way when it's time.
There is a dual-rate spring set-up and that is $119.99 on top of the rear shock price.
Any kind of shocks can be rebuilt, revalved, or resprung.

Wassup....bumpadeebump bump
Wish I could but I have 5 kids so all my December money is already gone. And this is what I need.
I know of somebody thats going to be taking up this offer reeeaaaal soon. Can't wait to hear what he has to say about it. This is a great deal especially for all the guys that are going to St Anthonys for the Rally in May...
THis is a great deal. Josh re-sprung & re-valved all 3 of my shocks this past May and the improvement is phenomenal! It's not just a shock overhaul, it's a shock re-engineer to your weight, riding style, & terrain. He took the time on the phone with me to get my shocks setup how I needed them and helped me determine if it would be beneficial for me to go dual rate or stay single rate on the rear.
I had 08 yfz's that had a GT THunder dual rate (ebay score) conversion re-sprung and re-valved and a stock 06 rear shock re-sprung (stayed single rate) and re-valved. My raptor tears up the trails now, so much more stable, more comfortable just riding down a trail, and it's like landing on pillows when I jump. I've probably never gotten more than 5 or 6ft of air, but I have them set so soft and they haven't bottomed out once yet. He even had the shocks pre-adjusted for me off of what I told him I rode, so I had a really good reference point to start with. I also don't have the nose down with the yfz's on the front with the overhaul! A+++++
I'm interested, how do I get in on this deal? Anyone know what kind of turn around there is?

PM sent. I got mine back one week after I shipped them.
Damn damn damn I wish had the money in time...
Turn-around time is 1-3 business days. I think since December is X-Mas and all we should really go 1 more month on this.
YEA. One more month PLEASE. Josh I have already talked to you on the phone. This guy is the shizzle(thats right I said it). I want this so bad but don't quite have it. If I can't pull it together and you don't extend it I will probly just send you the rear. Bump for a smokin deal

Give me the OK and it's done.
We will go ahead and extend this until the end of January 2010.
Is it to early to say I love you? ;) Crap it's already out there. Josh I hope to be talking to you first week in January.
Sounds great! Talk to you soon.
Josh
We still got one more month on these guys.
Get to work fellers. Suspension should always be the first thing you do to a bike.
Very good deal here!
I just found this thread....how did I miss it? ???
These Group Buys are making me go broke! Probably gonna have to do this one too. I made the mistake of riding a rappy that had good shocks on it. Can't go back now.

People with good shocks should be shot, how dare they entice those of us with crappy or mediocre shocks by letting us riding their atvs. ;)
Hi Josh, thanx for extending the GB on the shock rework.
I already have the front dual and rear single springs for my weight and was curious about pricing to service and revalve all three? Are you using the RT Gold Valve kits in this revalve pricing?
Cost to do just revalves, and rebuild is $345.99. I am using my own piston valves and shim stacks.

Sounds great Josh.
Does that include the T-shirt and shipping?
Are your piston valves built with the same high flow design currently being used by RT, GTT and others?
I will pay ground shipping and throw in a t-shirt
I would sure like to do this on my rear but not looking like I will make it. Dec and Jan are the 2 worst months....
Will keep this in mind, would be nice if my rear with the +6 was redone.
Hey Josh you did the rears for me and my brothers 660s awhile back, whats the price on respring/revalve for a pair of yfz450 fronts for a raptor
Price on a revalve/respring on yfz450 shocks would be as follows:
This is for the pair not just one single shock.
Labor: $70
Oil: $20
Revalve: $175 (includes new high flow piston valves)
Respring: $209.99
Seals, o-rings, etc. are extra. I will make a recommended list of parts to put back in and call you for confirmation before installing.
Total: $474.99

I agree. What a bunch of crap. I was perfectly happy with my inferior stock shocks. Now I know why I'm having such a hard time keeping up with him.
Josh, shocks are pulled off and will be on their way to you tomorrow. Thank you Josh and thank you RS for setting up this GB.
by any chance can you put a remote rezzy on a stock shock?

Probably need to be more specific about what the stock shock is, though it's quite possible you're throwing good $ after bad if it's a yamaha oem pogo stick (assuming of course it can be done).
I have a couple of rear shocks lying around. A few OEM 660 rears, 1 OEM 660 rear with an elka dual rate conversion (and I think elka components but not sure) and a rear elka for the 660. Any suggestions from the peanut gallery on what I should rebuild, and if I'm going to replace all the innards and springs anyway, how much worse can the OEM shock be than the aftermarket if they have the same components?
its a 700 rear
You can put a remote reservoir onto the existing reservoir. We run a remote reservoir on the existing reservoir on one of our motocross bikes. It allows for better cooling and it also has it's own radiator like piece that circulates to keep heat away. If you look at James Stewarts' yz450f he has one just like it. The remaining parts you can't see are routed into the air box. I think it is overkill though because you can get great results with an extended bladder cap for about $100 less.
Josh
Can you do the YFZ450 R models? Does this include a dual rate spring on the front or rear? are all the internals switched out with better ones aswell?
Yes I can do the 09' YFZ450 shocks. All of the internals are changed out.
Does the price include dual rate for the fronts or rears?
not sure if this has been asked, but can we choose the spring color? if so, what are teh options?
The front springs are dual-rate the rear shock is single-rate for this price. Color on the springs is not guarnteed. Usually springs come a glossy blue and black on the fronts and glossy blue on the rear. Cost on custom powdercoating is $20 a spring.
Last day for this group buy!!!!!
Well I was planning on doing this, until I bought my new truck :(
Thanks goes out to Josh Wiig for giving us the great deal on the awesome shock up grades. I'd also like thank those that participated in the group buy....you know who you are. Post up and let us know what you think about the new shocks.  Hopefully we can do this again in the future. Thanks again to all involved.
I sent my shocks off to Josh too. Hope to have them back soon. Thanks again for this great group buy.
I got in at the discount price as well, great Group Buy. Thanks.
I sent off my shocks to Josh Jan 22nd. Finally got a package today, But they are not my shocks. I ended up with someone elses. Still waiting for Josh to get back to me.
Yeah I know of another member on here that didn't get his shocks either says they are someone elses. ???
Heard from Josh. Im sending these back and still no word where mine are. ???
What the hell, how did I miss this one? Smokin deal. :(
Josh e-mailed me a UPS return label. All wrongly shipped shocks are getting returned. And he is personally handling it.
Good to hear that Josh is taking care of you guys! :)
Im still waiting for my shocks. Heard they were shipped to Missouri by mistake on Monday but nothing since then. :(
Man Sorry about that. :( Jstev got his back on Friday. We took the bikes out today and he fell in love with his new shocks. I rode it too and they were nice and plush. Give Josh a holler Monday if you don't have them by then.
Jamie700R shipped a package back monday and it arrived friday afternoon. The other shocks arrived on friday afternoon as well. All shocks have been put back into there rightful owners box and will be shipped back on monday. I am sorry for the mix up.

I may do a full write up after I get to ride some in the woods.
Josh I am very happy with my shocks. I was happy to get the discount. The very slow turn around and the mix up in shipping makes me want to stay away from group buys though. Slow replies and no communication make a guy pretty stressed. There was no t-shirt or stickers in my package. If you don't have them ready for the group buy, why advertise that it will be part of the buy? If the shirts and stickers are just a couple weeks out, why not throw a note in the box that says so?
My shocks were never revalved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a scam we all paid for a service that was never done!!!
http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/uu315/jamie700r/Pics%20on%20CCR/A343B4F1-ABF9-422D-B375-FC7AAA08321D-10210-00001315048396A0.jpg
To revalve a shock the peened shaft needs to be cut to remove the nut then remove the valving. As you can all see this was never done. Why did I pay 665.97 for something that was never done???
