Title: Drag racing struts for 1/8 mile asphalt?
Post by: Spider/Paleface513 on September 08, 2009, 05:50:55 PM
Where do I buy drag racing struts at ? Or do any of y'all custom fab them up I wanna hit the 1/8 mile local strip and see what happens. Stock gearing 20/11/9 tires. Don't know anything about strapping down the front so.

one my dudes over at Raptorforum.com made me some they're none adjustable. I think they're like the ones preddy made. Is there any tips anyone could give me. It's my first run on a drag strip with no shocks if I wheelie really hard could I bend frame coming back down hard or will tires prevent that trying to launch at 1/3-1/2 throttle is that safe stock gearing tires duro scorchers 20/10/9's anyone have estimated times and mph's

Yeah that was a FERK up. I was working off an iPhone with touch screen hit wrong icon and it was over didn't feel like retyping at the time so could anyone read it? Is there any advise. RF has me on probation for making fun of duners it was a little controversal I can say but didn't think people would be so sensitive.

That thing wont lift on pavment if you lower it enough. heres apicture of mine with struts on it just a few months ago. and dont make funof my mohawk  its worth 3tenths because the other guy cant stop looking at it a nd saying WTFiswrong with him :rofl:also note once you take it as low as mine is you have to adjust the tie rods because the tires turn way in and you cant drive it

13 in eye to eye works good for the front as well as the rear depending on arm length/ link setup  and design,,,,\\

1 in square aluminum tubing with a few spacers got the job done nicely!

I got the struts already need to install I've tried waiting on my duro scorchers to come in. I'm using stock everything but the rear axle it's lsr axcaliber +1/+4. Stock link and all in rear. I believe these are 11 eye to rear and 12 front. Spacers you talking like washers or something? So the one inch square metal can't slide back and forth?
