Title: pc5 map
Post by: Kamakazi on April 29, 2009, 03:15:15 PM
well my parts will be here any day now.  its going to be a +5hr crank, kds's newest flowing head (390cfm i believe), +2 intake and exhaust valves, rj cam, 11:1 kds stock bore piston with gapless rings, +3 tb, prodesign intake, white bros alumapro exhaust and  to top it off a pc5 and autotune kit.  talking with kb morotsports the autotune kit needs a map within 30% of a good base map.  does anybody have any thing close to a build like this?  ruttcutter and tonto im lookin to you for help as iirc you have similar builds.  thanks so much in advance.

my stuff showed today, im really gonna need something, im almost willing to take anything with a +5 crank, that should be the hardest part for the auto tune to deal with.

U need the autotune kit with that.  It works great and no worries for lean or rich then.

i think hes wanting a baseline because it can only compensate so much off the initial tune.

I dont think the crank or a higher compression piston will alter your map. Mine ran fine with the same map i had before the +5.

essentially i am doubling my horsepower, and the map i have now is nowhere near gonna be a close enough baseline for me.  but what you say badazz is interesting, you didnt change your map at all when you went to a +5 crank?  as for the higher compression, no, it wont really change a map, but i added a rj cam as well and bigger valves, and a cnc head.

according to power commander's website higher compression dont require a map change

Bumping compression does not require a map change, you're not changing your A/F ratio when doing so. Or the change that it does is not enough to require a map change.
