Title: Crank and Tranny Problem!!

ok all im trying to  install a +5 Hot rod crank and i have the crank split and everything went to try and push the crank out and my shift drum and letter c shift fork just fell out!!! i put it back together but i have no clue if its right at all, i am scared it aint because i didnt even loook at that before it come out!! i am in need of help asap but dont know what to do, i have a service manual the pics and instructions on the reverse shifte, shift fork and drum are very sucky!! i need pics, info, advice something, this is my first time and it has me worrried everything aint right and i want to make dam sure it is before i put it together!!! i finally got the crank out via press but now i am having trouble installing the new!! so advice there as well would be appreciated. i bought the tusk installer/puller tool but it sucks and i cant get it to work on our bike so please anybodys help would be helpful

the crank has to be pulled in not pushed from what ive been told. So what i did was get the bearing ligned up and used the flywheel and stator to pul the crank in. Just put the nut on the end of the crank and draw it up,you will run outta thread after a bit. I put 2-  9/16 short sockets under the flywheel. If you try to press it in you could pinch the two crank halfs together which i was told could seize your connecting rod.

also i would lay the right side case on an empty bucket so your shafts dont push out and go from there. troy told me to tap all the shafts with a rubber hammer to make sure there all the way in,otherwise you could crack the cases

well i got it together hopefully its right , im pretty sure it is!! i got the crank by using dry ice on the bearing dropped right in!! ill have it all together this week and i'll give a ride report, i appreciate your help 1 badazz 700
