Post by: ThisGuyAlex on May 28, 2008, 07:30:00 AM
i don't wanna use something sticky or waxy like normal cuz i think it'll get full of sand and grind the $hit out of my sprockets....any suggestions on what else to use?

I usually do a light chain wax about a week befor I go. then wash the bike so the wax is not so sticky.

I use tefelon bel-ray spray, but I think you can't really get around the chain getting dirt stuck to it as when you start riding the chain heats up and whatever type of lube you end up using gets tacky.  :(

I use the polaris stuff, it's not as tacky.  Used almost a full can during and after Walden.

My tefelon spray dries nice and smooth and doesn't stick, but after a good day of riding @ silver lake my chain had dirt caked to it :'(
