I just ordered it better watch out krandall... Gonna get sandblasted now
Here's what I sent the guy:
QuoteAre you kidding me????? You're selling a "modded" air-box lid that you CLEARLY drilled holes into.. And saying its' performance gainer? How about people just remove their lid..
QuoteYes and no not kidding !! This pattern that we have come up with by multiple dyno testing has had a 1 to 1 and 1/2 horse gain and allows you to leave lid on. Why lid on because not in all race situations can you run lid off without compromising you find this alot in desert, woods, and mud racing applications!!

:wtf:
It's amazing some of the BS that people can actually get away with selling
What a Jackass
so poke some holes in it and add a sticker. hell yeah i wish i knew that.
Ummmm, so I have to rejet my "700"
Dammit, thought I was through with that!.
IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY ADDED A NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM TO YOUR BIKE OR MESSED AROUND WITH YOUR JETTING THEN THIS ITEM MAY BE WHAT YOU NEED TO GET YOUR 700 RUNNING IN TIP TOP SHAPE
Wow.... the sad thing isn't the dude selling it, it's the guy ho's gonna buy it....
I just use tinfoil with tooth pick holes in it 8)
Bet you could get $50 BIN for those on the bay
wow
Guys we gotta go easy on the seller. I mean the guy says they have spent hours on the dyno

Puts those lids from EHS all to shame!

can I drill holes in my seat as well? Will that add some power...or will I need to rejet again? LOL!
You need to rejet your 700.

That is what the e-bay ad says.
just left a question on there.... everyone bust his ass.. the questions show on the auction at the bottom
I just left a question too.
"What type of dyno returns are you seeing with this lid? I noticed you mentioned re-jetting. What did you rejet to? Jetting a Raptor 700 seems hard since it's fuel injected."
~Brian
I just bought it, Im going up to a 200 main
That and the 28 hp black box is the answer for all the guys that have been spending big bucks on builds. Less than 50$ and you can have 30 hp more.
See you guys on the strip

that's the seventh clip right
i think he is mad
here is what i asked
said you spent some dyno time with this do you have the dyno sheets to
prove what your saying?
and his answer
look bro if your knocking it so bad and seem to know so much why are you even concerned. do you desert race because that is were alot of people like set ups like this one and yes i do have dyno sheets but not going to keep going back and forth with people just tryin to talk trash !!!!

His reply to my question: you read correctly I said that we remap which is similiar to rejetting not rejetting )it is fuel injected I'm not stupuid) you use an EFI control module and you can remap the fuel flow in all ranges and on the dyno with remaping and modifying lid this way our desert bike picked up 1.5 horse power and dont have to worry about dirtyfilters in a desret race !!!!
What a douche. The Grammar Ninja needs to pay this guy a visit.

And...WTF!
Thus one of the reasons for the Grammar Ninja to pay this douche a visit.
I thought about making him an offer..... Is .67 too high?
~Brian
I'd start lower.... Oh, make sure the 67 cents includes custom rejetting FI map.
I want to get that extra 1.5 horsepower out of that lid that he claims.

ka-chow, post of the day for Aaron!
Man, a BJ is just the start of my Jessica Alba fantasy.Im thinking spring cleaning!!
I asked him this:
"If i go with just the sticker is that good for .5 horsepower? I don't really need the full 1-1.5 horsepower, that's just too much of an increase."
I may waste 10 or 15 bucks just to hang it on my wall in my garage. Good conversation piece. :D

absolutely hysterical!!!! well done busted!
a full 1.5 hp increase would necessitate a new swinger. I am not ready for that much power.
Thanks, I am actually disappointed he hasnt responded yet. I wonder if he sensed my sarcasm, or maybe he has to take it back to the dyno before giving me a definite answer on it ???
Between this and the 25 horsepower super box, why even bother with dual exhaust and big bores? Just get these two items and you're all set!
get some shock covers..making an easy mid 70's hp machine.
his reply (yes, he replied in all caps)
"LISTEN THE STICKER JUST HAPPEN TO BE ON THE LID !! I AM TIRED OF THE BULLSHIT TRASH TALKING FROM ALL OF YOU !! THIS AIRBOX LID CAME OFF ONE OF OUR DESERT BIKES THAT WAS TOTALED AND IT WORKS VERY WELL ESPECIALLY FOR SOMEONE WHO IS RACING DESERT AND WOULD LIKE THE GAINS OF NO LID WITH BEING ABLE TO KEEP LID ON, ON NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SILT, WATER, AND OTHER TYPE OF DESERT ELEMENTS!! "
i guess i stand corrected. or not :D.
and on top of it, he posted the question on the auction page!
I BOUGHT IT!!!!!!!!!!!
NOT! pshh, i aint stupid.

My 660 lid had holes drilled in it...too much power, that is really why I traded it.
I am really wondering if this guy actually is believing his own b.s.
It's for desert use only.
~Brian
I took my 10 yr old grandson and told him I could hop up his Blaster. So I drilled some holes in the airbox lid he took off and came right back and said whoaa Papa this thing is way faster.Maybe the guy on e-bay thinks we are ten years old!!!

you guys know he was the only one bidding under different names just to get the price up there.....he ended up with a bunch of trash talk and an airbox lid drilled with holes still sitting on his coffee table
