The Wilburn Ruffcorn Farm
Central IL. It`s private property that is owned by a man named Wilbur Ruffcorn, but it is open to the public 365 days a year. Most privately owned places shut down to ATVs when hunting season comes in. Mr. Ruffcorn doesn`t. There is approximately 400-500 acres of riding area intermixed among his fields. There are lots of hills to climb, plenty of mud to play in, a nice big rock bottom creek to splash around in, and even a little sand to roost. Not sure how many miles of trails because it is spread out over such a big area. It`s a lot of fun though, and a great place to spend a day riding. The charge is $10.00 per person, although he has been known to give "special" family rates. He has discounted rates for 2 day (primitive) camping also, usually $15.00.
The place is located about 2 miles south of Loraine, IL. From Hwy. 61, turn South on County Road 1500. Follow it about a mile, where it will turn to the East. Another 1/4 mile to the first house on the right. There should be a small sign by the driveway. Pull in and stop at the house.

You know, like the rules the insurance company wants us to follow? The first time you come, you fill out our club ledger and sign the waiver and get a membership card. From then on, you just show the card and sign the waiver.
We will close the track for your safety on the two weekends of shotgun deer season. Those are the only scheduled closures for the year.

We give a $2 discount for groups of riders (5 and more), and for people who just can't stay away! That's our favorite kind of people!
If you would like to camp, or cook out, that's fine by us. We don't offer much in the way of luxuries yet, but there _is_ an Uncle Bubba's Outhouse, and a Pepsi machine.... and there are restaurants, service stations and a grocery store in Winchester, just a few miles up the road.

Mill Creek Park has approximately 15 miles of equestrian and ATV trails located on the West side of the Park. A waiver and permit must be obtained for all riders prior to using the trails. For In-District patronage, the daily ATV pass is $4.00. In-District annual passes are available for $25.00. Out-of-District rates are $6.00 per day or $35.00 annually. In addition, Illinois State OHV registration stickers are also required, and can be purchased at the gatehouse. Prices are $11.00 if the OHV is titled in the State of Illinois, and $18.00 if the OHV is titled elsewhere. The stickers are good for one year, from April 1st to March 30th.
