would a set of elka ride height and rebound adjustable shocks with no piggy back,be better than a stock yfz or raptor se front shock
If they're not compression adjustable, I vote no

But if they are valved for his weight then I would give the nod to the Elkas. The stock shocks are valved for the "every man" and just to general to get a good shock feel.
I have a buddy with LT elkas on his YFZ and they are only ride heigth adjustable and the ride is unbelievable.
they claim they will add travel over stock, plus you can add the reservoirs later. i have ridden a 400ex with works dual rate w/o reservoirs and it had a nice ride. i was seriously thinking about them until i picked up a full ishock i5500 kit for $650.
Nice!!! Where'd you score a deal like that?
I got my full set new for $800 shipped.
